Asal Humanitarian Network

The ASAL Humanitarian Network (AHN) is a network of over 30 locally-led organizations advancing humanitarian leadership, development programming, and peacebuilding across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands. It promotes coordinated action to strengthen locally-driven responses and elevate frontline actors in humanitarian and development systems. Through evidence-based advocacy and collaborative program design, AHN ensures that community voices shape policies and interventions. Institutional capacity strengthening remains a cornerstone of the network’s work, building sustainable service delivery systems and enhancing risk management among member organizations. Tailored, integrated responses address the unique challenges faced in ASAL regions, driving resilience, inclusive growth, and long-term social and economic transformation.
